Right now, the Dean is hard at work creating a piece of short fiction which will soon be featured here on the Institute of Higher Thinking blog. The piece is derived from the idea for a short novel that would have been written as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) in November. Only, in November this happened:

So the idea is being distilled down into what will either be a (1) long short story or a (2) novelette. There’s not much more to say about the story except that it falls in the “fantasy” genre but strives to reach a wider audience.
In the meantime, look for more occasional posts here. There are no plans to return to the five-days-a-week posting schedule of early 2011, but the hope is to have 10-15 posts a month. Thanks for hanging in there with us in the meantime.
